Experimental Study on Combustion and Fire Smoke Characteristics of Wallpapers using Smoke Density Chamber

چکیده
During a fire, flames can quickly spread throughout the room because wallpaper covers entire surface. Smoke generated from fire is significant obstacle to evacuation. Therefore, it essential study smoke characteristics of ensure evacuation safety. This used ISO 5659-2 combustion chamber method measure density over time with and without flame conditions using 25 kW/m2 radiation heat flux. The extinction coefficient represents visibility in smoke, VOF4 shows initial characteristics. These two factors were derived experiment results. Paper, cork, cotton wallpapers as representative wallpapers. results show that maximum all was higher non-flame condition than condition. Under condition, measured order cotton, paper. In paper density. wallpapers, except paper, exceeded 1.0 m-1 indicating provides 1-2 m under fire.

An Automatic Detection of the Fire Smoke Through Multispectral Images
One of the consequences of a fire is smoke. Occasionally, monitoring and detection of this smoke can be a solution to prevent occurrence or spreading a fire. On the other hand, due to the destructive effects of the smoke spreading on human health, measures can be taken to improve the level of health services by zoning and monitoring its expansion process. In this paper, an automated method is p...
متن کاملSmoke Simulation for Fire Engineering using CUDA
Computational solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations for fluid dynamics has become an increasingly useful tool for engineering purposes. However, solving fluid dynamics accurately requires a considerable amount of time and computer resources. In this thesis we investigate the possibilities of interactive smoke simulation for engineering purposes, using the recently released programming model ...
متن کامل“smoke:” Characterization of Smoke Particulate for Spacecraft Fire Detection
INTRODUCTION The “Smoke” experiment is a flight definition investigation that seeks to increase our understanding of spacecraft fire detection through measurements of particulate size distributions of preignition smokes from typical spacecraft materials. Owing to the catastrophic risk posed by even a very small fire in a spacecraft, the design goal for spacecraft fire detection is to detect the...
